Guimarães (IPA ) ist eine Stadt mit rund 160.000 Einwohnern im Norden von Portugal im Distrikt Braga. Sie war die erste Hauptstadt des Landes und wird deshalb auch die „Wiege der Nation“ genannt.
Die Altstadt von Guimarães gehört zum Welterbe der UNESCO.
